Thousands of unmanned ground vehicles – per year

Innovation power and operational experience on one side, production capacities and a functioning infrastructure free from direct war influences on the other. The „Build with Ukraine“ initiative is increasingly becoming a success story. Since the Munich Security Conference in 2026, several joint ventures have been agreed upon. At the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, ARX Robotics and Roboneers announced the founding of ARX Industries.

In recent months, Ukraine has increasingly focused on destroying the supply lines of Russian troops at the front through targeted attacks. The reasoning: where there is no ammunition, no fuel, and no food, there can be no fighting. This tactic seems to be effective. At the same time, the Ukrainian armed forces are intensively relying on conducting supply missions and transporting the wounded, increasingly using unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). This boosts the morale of the soldiers at the front line and helps defend the country against the aggressor from the east. Moreover, offensive actions and reconnaissance missions can be carried out with UGVs without further endangering their comrades’ lives.

The UGV Rys Pro is a modular system that can be adapted to different mission profiles

As with UAS, the demand for unmanned ground vehicles is growing almost daily. To supply the Ukrainian armed forces with what they need, the Ukrainian company Roboneers and the German UGV manufacturer ARX Robotics agreed to establish a joint venture on the sidelines of this year’s Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk. With the support of the governments of Ukraine and the Federal Republic of Germany, ARX Industries aims to produce several thousand units of the Rys Pro system in the first year after its founding. Subsequently, it is planned to increase the production capacity to a five-digit number of unmanned ground vehicles per year at locations in Germany and Ukraine.
