It is a remarkable development that the International Drone Show (IDS) has taken at Hans Christian Andersen Airport in Odense. After the event was initially successfully extended to two days, the number of exhibition stands for 2026 has now been increased from 100 to 158. And already more than two months before the IDS on June 3 and 4, 2026, the organizing team announced that all available spaces are fully booked.

The wars in Ukraine and Iran have led to drones firmly being at the center of military strategies and concepts. At the same time, international crises and protectionist efforts have highlighted that Europe would be wise to position itself in unmanned technologies to avoid falling behind the markets in the USA and China. Factors like these are driving the unprecedented demand for trade shows and events in the UxS industry. Through sustainable growth, an attractive program of lectures and discussions, and the opportunity to experience new products and technologies in action directly at the venue, the International Drone Show in Odense has earned an excellent reputation in the industry. Far beyond Scandinavia and nearby northern Germany.

The International Drone Show in Odense has become an important meeting point for the European UxS industry

In early June 2026, the themes of “Dual-Use” and “National Security” will once again be at the center of the IDS. Companies from Ukraine will report on practical experiences and present technologies that can respond pragmatically and efficiently to specific requirements in drone operations on land, at sea, and in the air. And, of course, it will also focus on what lessons can be drawn for civilian UxS operations in industry and society.
