Follow-on contract for Linza and Zoom drone production for Ukraine

Matthias Lehna, Vice President at Quantum Systems, and Pavlo Kosolapkin, CTO and Co-founder of Frontline Robotics, have signed a follow-on contract with the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, for an expanded delivery of Linza and Zoom drones to Ukraine in 2027. The contract exceeds the volume of the 2026 agreement and comes as QFI prepares to increase its production capacity fivefold for 2027.
The follow-on contract builds on QFI’s first year of production, which remains on track for completion in 2026. In parallel, QFI is significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity for 2027 to support higher production volumes and further demand. The contract covers Linza multi-purpose drones and Zoom reconnaissance drones, both developed by Frontline Robotics based on operational requirements from Ukraine.
Established under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative, QFI is the first European-Ukrainian defence-industrial joint venture.
“QFI was established with a clear objective: to combine Ukrainian engineering and operational experience with German industrial capacity and scale,” said Matthias Lehna, Managing Director of Quantum Frontline Industries. “Over the past year, we have shown that we can build up production quickly and reliably. The follow-on order by Ukraine proves that are model works. For our team, that is the strongest confirmation of what we have built. Now it is about demonstrating that we can deliver at even larger scale.”
“A follow-on order is one of the strongest validations a defence technology can receive,” said Pavlo Kosolapkin, CTO and Co-founder of Frontline Robotics. “Linza and Zoom are continuously evolving based on operational requirements and direct feedback from Ukrainian units. This contract allows us to scale systems already shaped by battlefield experience while accelerating further development, localization and supply-chain resilience.”
“Having a Ukrainian-developed alternative to widely used foreign systems is of strategic importance to Ukraine,” said Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine. “Expanding production in Germany gives us access to additional, urgently needed capacity while keeping Ukrainian technology and operational experience at the core. It allows proven Ukrainian-developed systems to reach our units at significantly greater scale.”
From production ramp-up to industrial scale
The new contract and the fivefold expansion of production capacity mark the next stage of QFI’s transition from initial production ramp-up into sustained high-volume manufacturing. With production in Germany and continued development based on operational experience in Ukraine, the joint venture provides additional industrial capacity for Ukrainian-developed unmanned systems in Europe.
About Quantum Frontline Industries
QFI is the first German-Ukrainian defence-industrial joint venture by Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics that established Europe’s first industrial-scale foreign production line for unmanned systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative, the joint venture mass-produces the battlefield-proven multifunctional UAV “Linza 3.0” developed by the Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics. 100% of systems produced in Germany are delivered to the Defence Forces of Ukraine in volumes defined by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. The production line combines Ukrainian battlefield-proven technology with German industrial capability: Quantum Systems provides infrastructure and production operations, while Frontline Robotics contributes licensed designs, training, and full lifecycle support in line with NATO standards.
About Quantum Systems
Quantum Systems is a leading European defence neo-prime built on deep technology. The company develops, manufactures and deploys battle-proven autonomous systems for defence, security and civil resilience customers. Its portfolio brings together hardware, software and AI across unmanned systems, sensors and counter-UXS solutions for air, land, sea and adjacent domains. MOSAIC UXS, its AI-enabled mission combat system, connects these capabilities into an interoperable operational network, enabling forces to sense, decide and act faster. With more than 1,700 employees across eight countries, Quantum Systems combines fast-growing revenue and demonstrated profitability with the industrial base to scale across allied markets.
About Frontline Robotics
Frontline Robotics is a Ukrainian defence technology company founded in 2023. Its team develops aerial and ground robotic systems based on operational experience and requirements from Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
Frontline Robotics develops its systems in Ukraine, with Linza and Zoom also manufactured at industrial scale in Germany through Quantum Frontline Industries, its joint venture with Quantum Systems.
