Ala.com: A new Polish defense company developing UxS

ALA.COM Sp. z o.o., a new Polish defense company, has begun operations after obtaining a licence for the manufacturing of and trade in explosives, arms, ammunition and products and technology for military or police use. The company designs and produces multi-domain weapon systems: unmanned air and naval platforms, loitering and precision munitions, and rocket artillery, integrated through its proprietary ALA COMMAND command-and-control layer. Its goal is to strengthen the defense of Poland and its European and NATO allies, and to help build a more sovereign and resilient European defense-industrial base.

The company was founded by entrepreneur Dawid Rożek, founder of the global fintech ZEN.COM, who now focuses on developing ALA.COM and advanced defense technologies. He has brought together leading Polish experts in defense, engineering and military technology around the project. 

ALA.COM develops modern unmanned systems that draw on the lessons of contemporary warfare, particularly the war in Ukraine on NATO's eastern flank. The company's philosophy is to combine technologically advanced solutions with the ability to produce them quickly, at mass scale and at relatively low cost. This is a direct response to a key lesson of today's conflicts, in which advantage depends not only on the quality of equipment but also on the speed and scale at which it can be fielded. For Europe, that means the ability to deploy capability in numbers, rather than relying on a handful of costly platforms.

ALA.COM is a private company built on fully Polish capital, developing the competencies needed to design, produce and sustain modern defense systems within Europe. Design, development and key production processes are carried out in Poland, with the support of partners across the European Union and NATO. ALA.COM manages the full product lifecycle, from design through production and integration to service and operator training, retaining full control over the software, source code and architecture of its systems. Its solutions are free of ITAR restrictions, giving allied users greater operational independence and freedom of export. 

A complete ecosystem for the modern battlefield

ALA.COM develops an integrated ecosystem of systems across the air, land and maritime domains, designed for the modern battlefield, for rapid scaling of production and for full integration within its proprietary ALA COMMAND system.

ALA.COM's solutions are designed for mass production from the outset. A modular architecture and adaptive manufacturing lines make it possible to produce technologically advanced equipment quickly, in high volumes and at a relatively low unit cost. This gives the operator a real capacity to act at scale, including swarm operations, rather than depending on individual, expensive platforms.

The portfolio includes the HUSARIA family of unmanned aerial systems, comprising FPV strike drones and long-range loitering munitions; the HARPUN family of unmanned surface vessels for reconnaissance, protection of critical infrastructure and combat operations; and the mobile ALA WR-40 and ALA WR-80 rocket artillery systems. All platforms are integrated by ALA COMMAND, a proprietary command-and-control (C2) system that provides a shared, real-time operational picture and coordinates action across all domains, using symbology compliant with the NATO APP-6 standard. The offering is complemented by training programs for operators, instructors and commanders, based on experience from current armed conflicts.

A team of global-known experts

ALA.COM is built around a team of specialists with many years of experience in defense, the arms industry, unmanned technologies and security, including experts who co-designed Poland's most important weapon systems and developed the national defense industry. Among them are Piotr Peksa, an expert in explosives, EOD and counter-terrorism and former Key Security Expert of the ORLEN Group; Jan Szwedo, former CEO of Huta Stalowa Wola and co-creator of the KRAB, RAK and BORSUK systems and of the LANGUSTA launcher modernization; and Grzegorz Łobodziński, a pioneer of the Polish unmanned-systems sector and co-founder of Drone Space Valley.

A Polish company with European ambitions

ALA.COM develops its solutions for the Polish Armed Forces as well as for NATO allies and other international partners, contributing to the collective security of Europe. The company plans to grow exports and industrial and technological partnerships, and to build a position as one of the most innovative producers of modern defense systems in Europe. In view of its international activity, ALA.COM has successfully implemented an Internal Control System (ICS/WSK) governing the trade in strategic goods, in line with Polish and EU export-control law.
