International Drone Show 2026: The global drone industry gathers in Denmark – with a more relevant agenda than ever
Odense will once again become a focal point for the drone community when the International Drone Show takes place on 3–4 June 2026 at HCA Airport. Here, companies, specialists and decision-makers will gather at a time when drones are high on both the political and technological agenda.

The 2025 edition of the International Drone Show (IDS) was the largest to date, attracting more than 1,000 participants, 100 exhibitors and visitors from over 35 countries. Interest is expected to grow even further in 2026, and the organisers are preparing an expanded programme with more exhibitors and stronger international participation.
Four themes shaping the 2026 programme
International Drone Show is one of Europe’s largest dedicated industry events for the drone sector. The conference highlights some of the most pressing trends in the field, where both drones and counter-drone technologies are gaining increasing importance across multiple sectors.
In 2026, attendees can look forward to presentations and debates within:
– Defence and security – unmanned systems in modern defence and emergency response.
– Industry use cases and new technologies – the most promising solutions across energy, infrastructure, environment and logistics.
– Unmanned on land and at sea – from autonomous ground vehicles to maritime drones that streamline complex operations.
– Integrated airspace – the future of air traffic, where drones and manned aviation operate safelyside by side.
The programme also includes:
– Presentations and panel debates with experts from Denmark and abroad
– Live demo flights in the airport’s extensive test area
– An international exhibition featuring new technologies and solutions
– Opportunities for networking and matchmaking across the industry
Live demonstrations as a key element
International Drone Show is organised by Odense Robotics in collaboration with UAS Denmark Test Center at HCA Airport.
“Drone technology is advancing rapidly, with new solutions and applications emerging all the time. This raises our ambitions for IDS 2026, where we look forward to once again bringing together key players from across the ecosystem to showcase the latest technologies, share knowledge and build strong cross-industry partnerships,” says Søren Elmer Kristensen, CEO of Odense Robotics.
“We are excited to once again welcome Danish and international visitors to HCA Airport. IDS gives participants the chance to experience technologies in realistic environments, which makes a real difference when seeing systems in action. That is why live demonstrations will once again be a central part of the 2026 programme,” says Michael Larsen, Head of UAS Denmark Test Center.
