Fully booked: International Drone Show exhibition stands sold out

  • All exhibition stands for International Drone Show in Odense are already sold out. With less than two months to go, this reflects strong demand and highlights the growing interest in drone technology.

International Drone Show will take place on 3–4 June 2026 at HCA Airport in Odense and has expanded this year from 100 to 158 exhibition stands – all of which are now fully booked. This means the 2026 edition is shaping up to be the largest to date.

This year’s conference has been expanded in both scope and content to reflect the rapid development of the drone ecosystem. Last year’s event brought together more than 1,000 stakeholders from the drone industry – including companies, researchers and public authorities – as well as participants from more than 35 countries. In just a few years, the event has become a key meeting point for the European drone industry.

International Drone Show is organised by Odense Robotics in collaboration with UAS Denmark Test Center at HCA Airport.

“We expected this year’s International Drone Show to be the largest to date, but it is still impressive that all exhibition stands are already sold out. It points to a strong event ahead, and we are seeing significant interest in drone technology and the developments taking place right now,” says Lisa Rosenlyst Hansen, Business Development Manager, UAS & CUAS at Odense Robotics.

“The pace of development in drone technology has increased significantly in recent years. This places new demands on how solutions are developed and implemented. What makes International Drone Show unique is, among other things, the live demonstrations, where participants can experience the technologies in real-world scenarios and gain a concrete understanding of their capabilities in practice,” says Michael Larsen, Head of UAS Denmark Test Center.

Drones at the centre of a new security reality

This year’s International Drone Show takes place at a time when drones are playing an increasingly important role in both security policy and global market development.

Experiences from the war in Ukraine have accelerated the demand for drone technology and highlighted its strategic importance. At the same time, Europe is facing a growing need to build its own technological capabilities.

This is also reflected in this year’s programme, where Mykhailo Poddubnov from the DOVZHYK Defense Training Center will share insights from the Ukrainian drone war.

“The war in Ukraine has shown how rapidly drone warfare is evolving and how critical it is to translate operational experience into concrete capabilities. International collaboration and knowledge sharing are essential to strengthening our collective readiness,” says Mykhailo Poddubnov.

Participants at this year’s International Drone Show will also be able to experience Mykhailo Poddubnov in the panel debate “Airspace Under Fire – Lessons from Ukraine’s Drone War”, alongside Andreas Graae, PhD and Head of Research at the Institute for Military Technology, Royal Danish Defence College, Christian Møller, CEO of the Danish defence tech company OODALOOP Technologies, and Emilie Berthelsen, PhD student at the Royal Danish Defence College and DTU Compute.

In addition to defence and security, this year’s conference will focus on new technologies and industrial applications, unmanned systems on land and at sea, and the future of integrated airspace.

This will take place through presentations, panel discussions and live demonstrations, where participants can explore the latest solutions in the drone industry and experience companies from around the world showcasing their technologies.

The event highlights Odense’s position as a key hub for robotics and drone technology in Europe, says the Mayor of Odense, Peter Rahbæk Juel.

“The fact that International Drone Show has already sold out its exhibition stands underlines that Odense holds a strong position as a centre for robotics and drone technology in Europe. At the same time, it demonstrates the growing international interest in the solutions and competencies we have built in Denmark – and particularly here in Odense – over many years through close collaboration between industry and research environments.”
