Share experiences, learn from challenges
With „Urban Air“, the Windrove network initiative created an opportunity for information exchange and networking within the Hamburg metropolitan region last year. The goal: to share experiences, learn from challenges, and collaboratively draw the right conclusions from difficulties. The second edition of this event will take place on February 10 and 11, 2026, this time at the event location Opernloft Hamburg.

Sharing information, connecting people, strengthening the community: Significantly boosted by the Windrove network under the umbrella of Hamburg Aviation, a vibrant drone community has formed in and around the Hanseatic city. This is largely thanks to a variety of events and discussion forums like „Urban Air“. After a successful premiere last year, the next edition is just around the corner. The lecture and information program will focus on two main topics: „Future Airspace: Safety & Resilience“ and „We Are Taking Off – From Vision to Market“. This covers two of the most currently discussed areas surrounding (commercial) drone operations. On the first day, the emphasis will be on integrating uncrewed systems into airspace and practical questions regarding urban drone defense. The second day, on the other hand, will focus on specific UAS applications and practical challenges for economically sustainable drone operations.
