Alpine Eagle reveals Sentinel interceptor at XPONENTIAL to showcase world’s first air-to-air counter drone system
Alpine Eagle - a pioneering European defence tech startup - is launching its interceptor to neutralize adversary drones and protect against the growing threat of autonomous warfare at XPONENTIAL 2025. The world’s first air-to-air counter-drone system, Alpine Eagle’s Sentinel fixed-wing drone, uses cutting-edge technologies including machine learning, advanced sensors and computer vision to detect, classify and neutralise hostile drones, including small drones and loitering missions. The interceptor works in tandem with Sentinel to neutralize drones and is a critical component in the fight to combat the rise of drone warfare.

Powered by Sentinenl-OS, Alpine Eagle’s intelligent, hardware-agnostic software backbone, Sentinel is the first step in a comprehensive, adaptable infrastructure that can be tailored to each and any mission.
Other Sentinel key capabilities include:
– A unified ecosystem with all components operating under the Sentinel umbrella, simplifying integration
– Unique, hardware-agnostic platform that can integrate with both off-the-shelf and bespoke hardware
– Enhanced airborne detection to protect against low-flying threats
– Compliant and rapidly deployable, Sentinel has been validated by Bundeswehr and can be deployed by generalist soldiers in under two minutes
Since launching last year, Alpine Eagle has brought on customers including the German military (Bundeswehr), achieved 7-digit revenues and raised over $12 million in funding from investors including General Catalyst and IQ Capital.
Jan-Hendrik Boelens, co-founder and CEO of Alpine Eagle, said: “We’re delighted to be showcasing our interceptor and how it works with Sentinel at XPONENTIAL – the first step in growing adaptable infrastructure that can be tailored to every mission. In recent trials, Sentinel can be deployed in two minutes, whilst its enhanced airborne detection means it can get to work protecting against threats. Drones and autonomous warfare are evolving faster than traditional military development, so intelligent software and hardware that can be updated and adapted to new and emerging threats at speed is critical to protect militaries and civilians.”
